COMEDY FINALS

The Play "New Yorker in Tondo" is a great and nice play. A lot of lessons can be learned throughout the story. The main protagonist, Kikay, can be compared to most Filipinos who goes to abroad and forgets their own language and culture. They were scenes that are comedy but in full it was a dramatic play especially on the scene that the baby carrying by Nena died and i feel depressed on that part. The lesson that I learned in this play is let us be proud of our country because whichever way we look at it we'll always be Filipino.

The movie "Fabulous Adventure of Amelie Poulain" is a combination of drama, romance and comedy. This movie makes me happy and makes me cry in the end part. I was inspired by this movie because at first, the shy and daydreamer Amelie never let herself into other people, when she became a Parisian waitress and found a child's treasure, she decides to give it back to it's rightful owner. Seeing how happy the child was, she decided to step out of her 'comfort zone', help other people and find love. There are lots of lessons i learned just watching this movie like when you help someone you don't just make them happy, you also make yourself a better person. I'm glad I was able to watch this not just because I was inspired and learned a lot of lessons but also because it can change people's lives.

“Ano gagawin natin pagkatapos?”

“ Magiging okay tayo pagkatapos, Parang dati lang.”

“Paano mo nasabi?”

“Anong ibig mong sabihin?” “Wala akong pakialam sa akin.”
“Pwes, may pakialam ako sayo.”
“Anung sabi mo?”
“Kaya nating pumunta kahit saan.”
Ata alam kong simple lamang iyon.”
“Oo, alam mong simple lamang iyon.”
“Ngunit ayaw kong gawin mo,” sabi niya. “Wala akong pakielam duon.”
“Wala akong problema. Maayos ako.”

Sets of opposites framework

In fast food chains here in the Philippines the rivalry start when Jollibee came in the market. McDonald’s, run by George Yang and Andrew Tan. And Jollibee, run and owned by Tony Tan Caktiong. More consumers say McDo is infinitely more profitable, renders better service and its people are warmer and less bureaucratic.

Jollibee has good service, nice staff and fast service. But they care more about their supplies than the customer asking for it. Sometimes they don't give condiments, or give a few. Just like what I've experience, My friends and I bought a lot but they gave us 2 folds of tissue. I scolded them and gave me, but it feels like they don't care what i have said.

And another thing that makes McDonald's better is the use of utensils. It is so obvious that Jollibee is being frugal. In McDonald's they give you plastic utensils which others haven't used it yet. Unlike in Jollibee they use stainless. We'll never know who used. Even though they wash it properly or clean it with hot water, what if the last one who used it has cancer or other sickness. It can make the bacteria and viruses spread faster.

So McDonald's is way better than Jollibee. Let's say that Jollibee's food are better. But the important thing in business is having a good service.

Comparisons between the Igbo culture and your own

The African and the Filipino culture are alike in a lot of ways. Both have a very rich culture in the field of art and agriculture. Both are composed of different ethnic groups. Both of them were westernized and were influence by their culture and religion, which was Christianity. Both are poor countries, but the Philippines has it better than Africa. Though both are in poverty, the Philippines isn't suffering as much famine as Africa is.

"Litform", "Elements of fiction", "DLSC"

The lines that tells the story how it goes is "But as soon as he did the child let out a scream. Don't, you're hurting me. Let go of my hands. Let them go I tell you. Then she shrieked terrifyingly, hysterically. Stop it! Stop it! You're killing me!"
This is the lines which made me think that the story is somewhat a brutal one and relates with the title use of force since the doctor uses his force on the child. The point of view of the story is the force that has been used in the girl. In real life, force is also an option whenever a person wants to dominate another person or animal. Then in the story, the doctor dominates the girl's fear and saved her from her sickness which she was hiding days ago.

LITFORM , DLSC "Use of Force"

As i read the story of "use of force", I imagined a kid who was force to leave a place where he really like. In the story, the kid girl was forced to open her mouth to see the tonsils. The little girl was spoiled brat and the doctor need to use a force so that he can see her tonsils. Again, the author shows how brutal the method could be in opening the mouth of the girl with the use of force. The doctor uses his hand to grip the jaws of the little girl and then followed by the spatula. For a kid like her, it can be dangerous to her emotional feelings, since her mother and father was also forcing her to do so. And then after the process, he saw what the girl was hiding about. I can relate the story in real life when street children were forced to work for their parents or in a syndicate group. They were forced to work the whole day and earning only little coins. Then sometimes they are being abused by the syndicate and dind't give them enough food to eat.
